Christmas 5 a side
Christmas Charity Five-A-Side Tournament

Based on the success of the first ever tournament last year, the Evening News and Sportspark are teaming up with Pilch Sports to host the Christmas Charity five-a-side football tournament on the biggest complex of all-weather pitches for the community in East Anglia.

Being held at the Sportspark’s brand new Soccerpark, using new artificial grass filled with rubber crumb used by professionals to practise on, the four latest third-generation five-a-side pitches allow you to concentrate on your form rather than on the state of the playing field. Each pitch is floodlit and surrounded by 6m high fencing with rebound boards to a height of 1.2 metres.

Men’s and women’s teams across Norwich are being invited now to sign up and compete for the crown of local five-a-side football champions, in what will no doubt be an action-packed festive tournament running from 17-19 December 2007.

The entry fee is £25 per team all of which will be donated to the Bryan Gunn Appeal, a fantastic local charity which supports the relief of childhood leukaemia. Simply by taking part in this five-a-side tournament you are contributing towards a realistic prospect that a cure for leukaemia could be discovered in Norfolk.

The finals and prize presentation will be held on the 9th January 2008 by Bryan Gunn with the winning men’s team receiving six seats in the Jarrold stand to the Norwich City vs. Leicester City home match on 19th January. Bryan Gunn will join the winning team for a post-match drink in The Business with Pilch Sport. The winning women’s team will receive six £20 Pilch Sport gift vouchers to spend on anything they like in-store. Both the winning teams will receive a signed NCFC football.

Winners and match reports will be featured within the Evening News and The Pink ‘Un. So to become Norwich football legends, sign your team up today!
