Sportspark has a 50 metre swimming pool that can also function as two 25 metre pools. The pool operates in 25 and 50m formats throughout the week. Our pool has ultra violet light as the main cleansing system and provides fantastically clean water. We offer single sex changing rooms, which provide lockers for your belongings (20p returnable).


Swimming / Where
General swimming
Sportspark is a great pool to enjoy swimming individually or with friends and family. The pool temperature is set at 28 to 28.5 degrees to accommodate all levels of ability from lane swimming to young children and families.

Fitness and Lane Swimming
Lanes are always available at the Sportspark. Exceptions do occur please refer to the swimming pool noticeboard and the website Pool Closure notice.

Splash swimming
Splash sessions run from 11.40 to 13.00 on Saturday mornings.
Exclusive use of the shallow pool for families. Small water toys available or bring your own (excluding flippers and snorkels). Pool depth reduced to 0.9m. Normal prices apply.Extra splash sessions are arranged during school holidays.
  • Easter splash sessions. Mondays 24th and 31st March 0940 to 1100, Weds 26th March and 2nd April 1000 to 1130.

    Pool Closure Notice

  • Saturday 17th May. Deep pool closed from 1600 for Masters gala (shallow pool still available).

  • Monday 20th May. Deep pool closed from 1245 to 1515 for schools aquathlon finals (shallow pool still available).

    Adult:Child Supervision Ratios

    CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS
    Maximum of 2 children per Adult (over 16 years)
    CHILDREN 4 - 8 YEARS
    Maximum of 3 children per Adult (over 16 years)
    CHILDREN 9 - 11 YEARS
    Maximum of 3 children accompanied by person aged 12 and over.

    Focus Sport
    Swimming is also a Student Focus Sport at UEA. Please click onto the link to access more information. We particularly welcome national standard competitors who can benefit from our sports bursary scheme and also excellent coaching and water time offered in conjunction with the UEA City of Norwich SC. Students can now access upto 19 hours pool time per week in the UEA CON SC which is coached by David Calleja
