The Admission charge for Non Sportscard holders

The Sportspark is a controlled entry facility and this enables us to

• Improve security for customers especially juniors
• Offer reduced charges to all categories of SportsCard holders
• Spread the cost of providing social and support facilities to all users of the Sportspark and not just the participants.
• The admission charge is 60p per person. Under 5 are free.

How to make a booking

"Pay and Play" customers

• Customers who do not have a SportsCard can book facilities a minimum of 7 days in advance at Sports Reception. No telephone bookings are accepted.
• All fees must be paid at the time of booking. Due to cost of bank charges we are only able to accept payment by debit/credit card where the individual transaction is a minimum of £5.00.
• Once booked these bookings cannot be cancelled or moved. No refunds are available unless the Sportspark closes the facility at the time of the booking.
• The standard admission charge of 60p is payable in addition to the activity fee by all non cardholders whether playing or spectating.

SportsCard holders

• Cardholders may book up to 14 days in advance by phone or in person. Bookings will only be accepted from the cardholder.
• All fees must be paid at the time of booking. Payment may be made by debit/credit card.
• Bookings may be cancelled or moved up to 14 days ahead on payment of a £2 administration fee provided that this is done by close of play on the preceding day.

Other booking conditions

Our Terms and Conditions of Use and Facility Booking Conditions
can be found at Reception and at
Terms and Conditions

The Sportspark is a very popular facility and the indoor facilities in particular are in heavy demand. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the Sportspark each day so there are a few restrictions to make this possible.

• Only one court can be booked for the same start time on a day.
• A maximum of two consecutive courts may be booked by one cardholder.

We reserve the right to cancel or suspend bookings where we believe a number of customers are acting together to try and make a group booking.

Car Parking

Parking is free for users who are not members of the University in the 140 space Sportspark Car Park that is 250m on the left down University Drive which is accessed from Earlham Road. University members may not use this car park at any time or they will be charged £5 per hour. During weekdays take a ticket on entry and it will be validated for exit at Sports Reception. At other times the barriers will be on automatic entry and exit.

There are 8 designated spaces for holders of Disabled badges who are present and using the Sportspark.

After 1630 and all weekend community users can park in the University Main Car Park free of charge. This parking is a further 200m down University Drive. Tickets issued after 1630 weekdays and at weekends can be validated free of charge at a special machine on the wall opposite Sports Reception. At all other times standard university charges must be paid at the car park Pay Stations... Sportspark cannot refund charges during this time.

To help us manage the Car park for the benefit of community users there are a number of basic Terms and Conditions of Use. These are displayed at the entrance, in Reception and can be downloaded from this web site at Terms and Conditions.

Charges

A condition of Lottery funding for the Sportspark Car Park was that it should be actively managed to ensure that University users do not use it instead of campus parking. University traffic regulations prohibit use of the Sportspark by members of the university. Charges of £5 per hour or part hour may be levied against any car or motorcycle that is parked in breach of the advertised Terms and Conditions.
