Customer Testimonials
October 2017
"I wanted to say how much I have enjoyed my membership over the years, the gym , classes and the swimming pool are exemplary. I learnt to swim as an adult in the UEA pool. The aerobic classes were my favourite. Best of all everyone is so friendly and nice. I'll miss all of it when I leave , it would have been good to have virtual aerobic classes with my favourite instructors , Jackie and Sarah. Wishing you all good luck ,to say again this is the most fabulous facility in the whole wide world, keep up the excellent work."
March 2017
"I have been having swimming lessons in your pool for the last two years. My teacher is Katie Collins. She is fantastic. I had previous teachers but Katie has been the one to give me confidence. I used to be so scared of the water hence it taking me two years but I can now do breaststroke, backstroke and just got front crawl. I am thrilled. Going to continue as want to learn more thanks to Katie. I also love your pool and changing rooms so would not go anywhere else. Also I like your reception staff as they are friendly and are always asking me how my progress is going. I gave them a tin of sweets for xmas as they deserve some recognition."
January 2017
"Yesterday (Monday 9th Jan) just before 4pm I came to the Reception at the Sportspark to pay for swimming for me and my 2 children. The receptionist, Jack, could not have been more efficient and helpful. He explained about the benefits of my son having a membership card and dealt with the processing of this quickly and effectively. He also offered to open the main door into the pool area as he could see that going through the turnstile would be difficult with 2 children and all of our bags. Very impressed with his level of service."
Event Testimonials
"The UEA Sportspark have supported us in many events from black belt testing’s and seminars to one of our biggest events of the year which is our European tournament. This particular event comprises of more than 800 competitors with over 2,000 spectators. The facilities and staff are well equipped to deal with this.
We have always found the staff to be professional, courteous and helpful. The facilities are always of a high standard and there is ample car parking across the site. We wish to continue to use this outstanding facility to hold future events and tournaments.
Overall a highly recommended professional sports facility."
Master John Ives, UK & European Chief Instructor for Kuk Sool Won UK Schools
"The concept of the Norfolk School Games finals is to give young people a memorable and exciting competitive sporting experience. The event builds on the Olympic Games as a multi-sport showcase event. The Sportspark is the perfect setting for this, with the wide range of facilities and the impressive scale of the venue it ensures that our events are memorable for the young people and helps to raise their aspirations.
Sportspark's sponsorship of the Norfolk School Games helps us as organisers to grow the games further and ensure as many young people are engaged as possible."
Stephen Hulme Active Norfolk
"I just wanted to say thanks for the way that everything has been set up for the NVA bookings recently. The courts have all been done on time, nets at the right height and the tables and scoreboards are all out ready.
Both the Friday night bookings and the regional tournaments have run smoothly so far, in no small part to the facilities and set up at the Sportspark."
Nigel Sinclair Norfolk Volleyball Association
"During the Active Norfolk event season we spend a lot of time at Sportspark. From the initial query all the way through the delivery of an event I have nothing but praise for all the staff. The events team are extremely efficient, approachable and a pleasure to work with. On the day of bookings we have always received an excellent service and day staff are always on hand to help if we need anything. The facilities at Sportspark are excellent and always found in great condition. We are very lucky to have a facility of this level on our doorstep and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them both in a professional events capacity and also as someone who loves a game of badminton tennis or squash in their spare time."
Ellen Vanlint Sports Development Officer, Active Norfolk
I signed up for Rob Rout’s Cycling Performance Course, as I want to enter the ‘Norwich 50’ for the first time this year when I will be 64 and not really knowing what to expect. The course is very well structured and Rob gives a full and detailed explanation of what we are going to be doing each week as we are doing our ’warm up’. We were each given a set of exercises to do in the gym to improve our overall strength and fitness levels as well and I’ve found these have been extremely beneficial over the last few months.
The initial phase of the course finished at the beginning at the beginning of December and with the next phase not starting until January, once again we were given ‘homework’ to be completed over the Xmas period, so that we would maintain the levels of fitness we’d achieved.
I occasionally cycle to and from the city (a distance of 5 miles) and i find i can stay in a higher gear for much longer than I used to and I'm enjoying my cycling more. I'll certainly continue to use some of the routines that Rob has taught/will teach us over the next 4 weeks and incorporate them into my gym workouts to give me more variety!
He is an excellent motivator and has pushed me to levels I wouldn't have believed I could attain.
