Climbing /
What
Built by DR (2000) with a mixture of free-form Contour resin and panels. 11m lead/top rope walls inc overhanging, vertical and slab sections.. Specialised bouldering area in free-form Contour resin. Beginners/abseiling area. Fitted matting. 4 Sportspark ropes are always available ‘in situ’ for public use. Climbers must bring their own necessary equipment with them. Chalk balls are available to purchase from the main reception.
Norfolk's largest and most exciting indoor climbing wall is challenging for beginners and experienced climbers alike. The bouldering cave, slab and overhangs provide a diversity of climbing opportunities.

Where
This state of the art climbing wall at the heart of the building rises through all three floors of the Sportspark to a height of 10m. The custom built wall provides for many different climbing activities including abseiling and bouldering.

When
The Peak is available between 0820 and 2220 every day of the week. Exceptions to this are:-

Activity courses
and group parties are also organised on the Peak these are open to children from 8 years old to adults. Because of this there are occasions when there is limited availability. Please contact the main reception for more details if you wish to avoid these times.

How
Experienced Climbers
Climber Registrations
Experienced climbers can purchase a climbing pass (£10) by completing a disclaimer/registration form. After receipt of the climbing registration form it will take 48 hours to process and authorise before you can climb. The Climbing Registration form can be downloaded by clicking on

. You can then fax this to 01603 593779 prior to your visit if you have a reasonable distance to come before hand (don’t forget to send giving 48 hours notice).
Signing Guest Climbers In
One guest per registered climber may be signed in. Top ropes only are supplied; climbers must bring their own equipment. Lead climbing not permitted using the ropes provided at the Peak.
Inexperienced Climbers

Climbing Courses
Taster, introductory and improver classes are available. Equipment is provided. Please refer to the Activity Courses for more information.
Group Bookings

Saturday Morning Junior Climbing Club
As from Saturday 10th January Sportspark will be offering a Junior Climbing club for children aged from 10 to 16 years. Children who wish to become a member will need to have completed at least 2 sportspark climbing courses.
The club will be supervised by two instructors, with help also available from student volunteers.
The club runs from 0900 to 1200 each Saturday. All members will need to be a Junior sportcard holder and pay a annual membership joining fee of £5.00. Session costs are £5.00.
