Fitness in Later Life (FILL) / What
Fitness In Later Life is a specific, structured activity programme for people over the age of 50 years. F.I.L.L offers a wide variety of activities that are suited to all ages above 50 years and all levels of fitness. Whether you’re looking to add something to your lifestyle or feel it’s time to begin or maintain a healthier active routine, then the F.I.L.L programme is ideal for you. Come and try new activities, enjoy a social chat and meet new friends, whilst benefiting from physical activity.

Activities take place throughout the week (Monday to Friday), with a variety of different activities available. Each activity is supervised by trained, experienced staff and coaches, to assist the organisation of the group and to give guidance in making improvements.

The following activities are available:

  • Badminton
  • Cricket
  • Walking, stretching and strengthening work
  • Aerobics
  • Tennis
    DAY/TIME  ACTIVITY  INSTRUCTOR 
    MONDAY 10:20 - 12:20  Badminton. For all levels of ability. Enjoy a social game, with different people. Our coach is available to coordinate the group and give technical advice if requested.  Bev Sharman 
    MONDAY 09.15 – 10.15  Aerobics. Low intensity aerobics workout with flexibility and toning exercises. Ideal for all fitness levels.  Carlotta Grossi 
    MONDAY 12.20 to 14.20  Cricket. Enjoy a social indoor game of cricket. Some current of former experience of cricket is helpful.  Jeff Locke 
    TUESDAY 09:15 - 11:00  Health In Later Life (H.I.L.L). Work back to the top of the hill!!! Walking round the athletics track and then improve mobility, flexibility and strength through a series of exercises held in the Dance Studio. Ideal for all fitness levels  Fitness Advisor 
    WEDNESDAY 10:00 – 11:30  Tennis. For all level of ability. Enjoy this great outdoor sport in the presence of our resident coach and other fellow tennis players. Enjoy a sociable game with different people each week.   Ivan Vorlicek 
    THURSDAY 09:15 – 11:00  Health In Later Life. As above  Fitness Advisor 
    THURSDAY 10:20 – 12:20  Badminton. As above  Suzanne Benton

    Fitness in Later Life (FILL) / Where
    Fitness In Later Life (FILL) takes place at the Sportspark in a variety of activity areas throughout the week.

    Fitness in Later Life (FILL) / How

    Simply go to the Sportspark main reception and purchase a F.I.L.L ticket. Take your ticket to the supervisor/coach and enjoy your activity. On your first visit to the F.I.L.L programme you will need to complete a membership form, however this is free of charge and will only take a couple of minutes
