/ What
Sportspark has a 50 metre swimming pool that can also function as two 25 metre pools. The pool operates in 25 and 50m formats throughout the week. The swimming pool is fantastically clean as it is treated by Chlorine Gas and Ultra Violet light. We offer single sex changing rooms, which provide lockers for your belongings (20p returnable).
General swimming
Sportspark is a great pool to enjoy swimming individually or with friends and family. The pool temperature is set to accommodate all levels of ability from lane swimming to young children and families.

Fitness and Lane Swimming
Lanes are always available at the Sportspark. Exceptions do occur please refer to the swimming pool noticeboard and the website Pool Closure notice.

Splash swimming
Splash sessions run from 11.30 to 13.00 on Saturday mornings.
Exclusive use of the shallow pool for families. Small water toys available or bring your own (excluding flippers and snorkels). Pool depth reduced to 0.9m. Normal prices apply.Extra splash sessions are arranged during school holidays.

Sportspark hosts three different swimming clubs 1) UEA City of Norwich SC, 2) Swans SC and 3) East Anglian Swallowtails SC. These clubs train on a weekly basis at the Sportspark. Please contact the clubs directly for more information:-

Adult:Child Supervision Ratios

Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by and adult (16 or over). Maximum of 4 children per adult as long as one of the following criteria is met:-
• The children are wearing armbands or a swimming aid in the designated area;
• The children can swim;
• The children are taking part in a special session or programmed time in a supervised situation or where there is special lifeguard supervision.
The same criteria also applies for children aged 8 to 11. They must be accompanied by a swimmer aged 12 or over (maximum of 4 children).

Focus Sport

Swimming is also a Student Focus Sport at UEA. Please click onto the link to access more information. We particularly welcome national standard competitors who can benefit from our sports bursary scheme and also excellent coaching and water time offered in conjunction with the UEA City of Norwich SC. Students can now access upto 19 hours pool time per week in the UEA CON SC which is coached by David Calleja
