Sportspark Job Vacancies

Sportspark job vacancies:

  • Rounders Co-ordinator (Norwich)
  • Rounders Co-ordinator (Kings Lynn)

Sportspark at the UEA has recently been chosen as the hub centre for rounders in Norwich and the surrounding areas. We are working to increase the opportunities to get involved and participate in rounders. Therefore we are recruiting 2 x casual contracted co-ordinators to lead on the initiatives we have planned.

The rounders co-ordinator post will be a casual working pattern with hours dependent on what initiatives are coming up with a potential increase in hours offered in the spring and summer months in order to prepare for and lead our summer activities. The post-holders would be expected to aid delivery of activities including coaching and umpiring where needed as well as perform administrative tasks particularly in the run up to summer. Training, and potential courses, will be provided and the co-ordinators would be supported by the Sportspark Sports Development Team.

The four local areas we aim to increase rounders participation in are Norwich, South Norfolk, Broadland District and Kings Lynn and West Norfolk.  Therefore we look to recruit a rounders co-ordinator to be based at the Sportspark covering the areas of Norwich, South Norfolk and Broadland and an additional rounders co-ordinator to lead on our initiatives in the Kings Lynn area. You would be required to aid delivery on (less frequent) county-wide initiatives held at the Sportspark and other local facilities.

Due to the casual nature of the posts and the flexibility of hours we offer these vacancies would be suitable for college or university students as well as those in part time work.

Start date: Immediate start.

Rate of pay: Competitive, dependent on qualifications/experience.

If interested please send your current CV and a brief covering statement to scd.sportspark@uea.ac.uk

Closing date for all applications is 27th February 2015

For more information or for an informal discussion please contact Izzy Rothon (Sport and Community Development assistant via scd.sportspark@uea.ac.uk)
