Learn to Swim Instructors
All Learn To Swim Instructors are ASA L1 and L2 Teacher and RLSS NRSTC/NPLQ qualified and DBS enhanced checked, and have been carefully selected for their enthusiasm, experience and passion.
Badges and Certificates
Rewarding children for their progression is of great importance. Each child is therefore rewarded at the end of every course and this could be in the form of presenting them with a Completed Stage Badge and Certificate (in preparation to move up a stage), an award that compliments their ability, for example, a distance or skill based Badge and Certificate, or even a “Well Done” sticker.
It is important that your child achieves and progresses through the Learn To Swim programme. However, high standards are adhered to, to ensure that no child is moved up a stage too early or indeed is kept back for any length of time. Instructors will work closely with swimmers and parents to ensure communication is at its best.
Badge slips will be issued by instructors at the end of the course. Badges and Certificate cost £3.00 and are available from reception.
Once a swimmer has reached stage 7, they are encouraged to develop fundamental sports skills. Competitive swimming is a fantastic way to put skills learnt into speed and stamina and is the first step to training in a competitive environment, i.e., within a local swimming club.
Developing stamina 400m. Understanding the laws of all turns and improving kick strength.
