Sportspark Continues To Support Norfolk School Games
This week, we had the pleasure to welcome students from all over the county to The Winter Norfolk School Games.
Sponsored by Sportspark, The Norfolk School Games is the largest school sport event to ever be held in Norfolk. Organized by Active Norfolk and the eight School Sport Partnerships (SSPs), The Norfolk School Games is part of a national initiative which aims to inspire more young people to take part in competitive school sport
At the start of the 2016 Winter Norfolk School Games, Phil Steele, Director of Sport, announced Sportspark’s continued sponsorship over the next four years. Stephen Hulme from Active Norfolk, Maria Rowe and Phil Steele from Sportspark, have confirmed the ongoing support of the Games at Sportspark, that will now run until 2020.
During the Games, both primary and secondary school-aged children competed in sports such as athletics, rowing, table-tennis, gymnastics, swimming, the Playground 2 Podium Festival and Special School Games. With the events in the earlier months of this year of cross-county, snow sports and rugby, over 2,500 children will have been involved.
Sportspark looks forward to continuing its support of this amazing event.
