Our team of expert Chartered Physiotherapists specialising in the management of musculoskeletal back, neck, and limb pain. This includes sports injuries, post-operative management, rehabilitation, and persistent pain.

Your appointment will include a comprehensive assessment and tailored treatment plan. Your physiotherapist will work with you to identify and attain what’s most important to you.

Dr Rachel Chester

Rachel has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 30 years, working in the NHS and in Private Practice in the UK, and mainland Europe. Rachel is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MMACP). This means that she has completed extensive postgraduate clinical study at Masters Level, passed stringent examinations and achieved a recognised standard of excellence in the assessment, treatment and management of people with musculoskeletal problems.

Rachel is a Lecturer in physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate training. Rachel has authored and co-authored a number of publications about treatments for musculoskeletal conditions. Regions include the knee, Achilles tendon, shoulder, wrist and hand. Her research on shoulder pain has received international recognition and she presents at conferences both nationally and internationally. Rachel specialises in working with her clients to help them understand and manage their symptoms so that they can confidently get back to their sport or activity.

Helena Daniell

Helena also works as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS and has particular interests and experience in treating sports injuries, managing long term conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation.

She strives to provide evidence-based practice for her patients and is experienced in exercise prescription, aiming to empower patients to help themselves. Helena has been trained by the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute in Matwork Pilates level 3 and incorporates this into her exercise programmes. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. She has worked as a senior rheumatological physiotherapist and currently treats patients with spinal, and upper and lower limb problems, including those who have had surgery.

Helena graduated from UEA with a BSc in Physiotherapy, and subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. She is an associate tutor at the UEA and actively promotes research in her profession, having published several articles in National and International journals and presented at the Physiotherapy Research Society Conference in 2018.

Owen Thomas

I am currently studying BSc Physiotherapy at UEA and have been qualified in Sports Massage since October 2020. Since starting the Physiotherapy course in September 2019, I have developed a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal therapy and have gained some experience in this area from the practice placements.

Additionally, I have interests in injury management and exercise prescription.

Linked to my strength and conditioning interests, I like to play a range of different sports, with powerlifting currently being my main passion.

Rebecca Watkins

I am BSc physiotherapy student at UEA and have been a sports massage therapist since the November of 2020. A big interest of mine would be musculoskeletal injuries within sport and the functional rehabilitation alongside treatment all targeted personally to the individual.

My interest in sport began at a young age by competing in a range of sports, sprinting now being my main sport. Leading to a wide knowledge of sport specific exercise rehabilitation.
