Physiotherapy

Our team of expert Chartered Physiotherapists specialising in the management of musculoskeletal back, neck, and limb pain. This includes sports injuries, post-operative management, rehabilitation, and persistent pain.

Your appointment will include a comprehensive assessment and tailored treatment plan. Your physiotherapist will work with you to identify and attain what’s most important to you.

Once a physiotherapy appointment has been arranged, this will be held for 24 hours. Online payment must be paid within this period to secure your appointment. Details will be provided when you arrange your booking.

PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

Sportspark have a team of expert Chartered Physiotherapists specialising in the management of musculoskeletal back, neck and limb pain. This includes sports injuries, post-operative management, rehabilitation, and persistent pain.

Dr Rachel Chester

Rachel has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 30 years, working in the NHS and in Private Practice in the UK, and mainland Europe. Rachel is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MMACP). This means that she has completed extensive postgraduate clinical study at Masters Level, passed stringent examinations and achieved a recognised standard of excellence in the assessment, treatment and management of people with musculoskeletal problems.

Rachel is a Lecturer in physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate training. Rachel has authored and co-authored a number of publications about treatments for musculoskeletal conditions. Regions include the knee, Achilles tendon, shoulder, wrist and hand. Her research on shoulder pain has received international recognition and she presents at conferences both nationally and internationally. Rachel specialises in working with her clients to help them understand and manage their symptoms so that they can confidently get back to their sport or activity.

Helena Daniell

Helena also works as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS and has particular interests and experience in treating sports injuries, managing long term conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation.

She strives to provide evidence-based practice for her patients and is experienced in exercise prescription, aiming to empower patients to help themselves. Helena has been trained by the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute in Matwork Pilates level 3 and incorporates this into her exercise programmes. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. She has worked as a senior rheumatological physiotherapist and currently treats patients with spinal, and upper and lower limb problems, including those who have had surgery.

Helena graduated from UEA with a BSc in Physiotherapy, and subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. She is an associate tutor at the UEA and actively promotes research in her profession, having published several articles in National and International journals and presented at the Physiotherapy Research Society Conference in 2018.

IRIS LO

Iris is a senior physiotherapist in the NHS and a medical student in Norwich Medical School. She specialises in manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions management and post-operative rehabilitation.

As a holistic practitioner, she highly emphasises in patient education which is the foundation of patient empowerment and self-management. She has also completed her diploma for Acupuncture approved by the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and has used acupuncture to enhance her exercise program on a regular basis.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy aside, Iris has a strong background of respiratory medicine. Her experience working in Intensive care units & respiratory units during COVID-19 has inspired her to work with help adult and paediatric sports lovers with long-term breathing conditions post cardiac procedures to return to sports safely.

Iris completed her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and would like to continue serving the community with her skills and knowledge in Norwich as a physiotherapist.

Ben Bumphrey

I am a 1st year MSc Physiotherapy Student at UEA, BSc Physical Education and Health Graduate and Qualified Sport Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. As part of my university and sports massage therapy course, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of patients with different injuries and musculoskeletal issues. I can tailor my methods to suit your needs and adapt when needed.

In addition, from my Personal Training background and university course, I have gained a wealth of knowledge in Human Anatomy, Post-Injury Rehabilitation, and Muscle Strengthening.

Lucy Bridle 

I am a 2nd year BSC physiotherapy student here at UEA and have been a qualified sports massage therapist since November 2021. I’m passionate about tailoring my treatments to the needs of each individual and using sports massage as a tool to assist in rehabilitation.

I have experience working alongside a local rugby club assessing various injuries they have sustained and assisting them with sports massage as well as pre and post event massage.

Amelia Frampton 

I am a BSc Physiotherapy Student at the University of East Anglia and have been a sports massage therapist since November 2021. I am interested in working to treat sporting injuries and aid clients with their rehabilitation. I will ensure I work to ensure my treatment is specific to the individual. I have always been involved in competing in a variety of different sports which has provided me with knowledge of common sporting injuries and the suitable treatment and rehabilitation.

Charlotte Byford 

I am currently an MSc Physiotherapy student here at the University of East Anglia and have been practising Sports Massage since 2017. I have worked in a range of environments providing both rehab and massage. For two years post-graduation, I worked in a private physiotherapy practice seeing a range of patients and their injuries, rehabilitating them back to full health and helping them with their concerns. I worked as a sports massage therapist and rehab assistant in private health care throughout my undergraduate degree and treated many elite rugby teams including Saracens Women, The Barbarians and London and Scottish as a senior rehabilitator. My roles included providing player triage, exercise plans and pitch-side first aid.
