About Tennis
Tennis is a dynamic and engaging sport that combines fitness, skill and strategy. It’s played either one-on-one (singles) or in pairs (doubles) and is known for improving agility, coordination and endurance, while being great fun for players of all ages and abilities.
At Sportspark, we have six tarmacadam courts, all floodlit so you can play day or night. Courts are available for casual hire in convenient time slots, making it easy to fit a game around your schedule.
For those looking to improve their skills, the National Tennis Association runs our Tennis Academy at Sportspark, offering courses and coaching for all levels. You can also join our Fitness in Later Life Programme, which includes tennis sessions to stay active and social.

Please note that non-members pay an extra 80p per person, on top of the court hire fee. The time required to set-up and take down equipment for your activity, will take place during your 40 minute hire session.
Sportspark Tennis Academy Prices are set by National Tennis Association and sign up is done through their website – National Tennis Website
Peak times are 16:00 – 20:30 Monday – Friday
Off peak times are all other times including weekends.
Racket hire
Forgot your racket? No problem!
You can hire rackets from Reception for £2.50 each. A £10 deposit or your membership card will be held while you play and returned when you bring the equipment back.
Tennis Opening Hours
Our outdoor tennis courts are available throughout the week and can be booked at times that suit you. Courts are available via online booking, by calling reception on 01603 592398, or in person.

Tennis Academy
The Sportspark Tennis Academy is run by the National Tennis Association (NTA) in partnership with Sportspark. All coaching sessions take place here at Sportspark.
The NTA offers a professional weekly programme for Mini Tennis, juniors and adults, along with holiday camps, competitions and fun tennis events for the whole family. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills, get active, or just enjoy some friendly tennis, there’s something for everyone.
