The next Big Norfolk Holiday Fun scheme will take place around Summer, between 21st & 22nd December 2023 and 2nd & 3rd January 2024 There will be a range of activities available all over the county, aimed at various ages. These could include football, basketball, circus skills, arts and crafts and dance. It could also involve music, cookery, film-making and much more!

It’s a fantastic way to encourage children and young people to try new things whilst keeping their brains and bodies stimulated over the school holidays. All children taking part will receive a nutritious free meal as part of the offer.

Our Holiday Activity Fun sessions are an ideal way for children to get active and make friends! They also offer working parents peace of mind in the knowledge that their children are being entertained, stimulated and encouraged to participate in a range of activities, in a safe and fun environment.

With a fun-packed programme incorporating a range of sports, activities, crafts, competitions and themes, our Holiday Activity Fun sessions offer the ideal solution to keep your family active and entertained over the holidays.

The dates the club will be running for the next school holidays are:

Christmas 2023 – Bookings open at 16:00 on Monday 20th November 2023

Thursday 21st December 2023

Friday 22nd December 2023

Tuesday 2nd January 2024

Wednesday 3rd January 2024

BNHF Swimming Lessons

Our Holiday Activity Fun (HAF) Swim lesson are aimed at Children aged 8-16 who are either weak swimmers, cannot swim unaided or are yet to learn how to swim. We will offer a small group (max of 8 children) swimming lesson with the goal of boosting water confidence and learning core swimming skills and lifesaving skills. These lessons are aimed are weak/none swimmers. Please do not book if your child is able to swim.

The lesson will follow the below template:

Drop off at 09:00 – 09:30 (Morning session) or 13:00 – 13:30 (Afternoon session).

0-30 mins: welcome to the learning space where they will meet the swim teacher and go through:
–       Dangers around all types of water
–       Beach safety
–       Water safety
–       Life savings skills
30-40 mins: Participants will head down into the changing rooms and get changed for the swimming pool.
40-120 mins: Pool-based activity/games/personal survival/floating skills, broken up into 10/15 mins blocks with times for games/breather between activities.
120-140 mins: participants get changes and meet the swim teacher outside the changing room
140-180 mins: participants receive a packed lunch to be eaten in a meal in the room with food-based activities (same as the holiday club)

Pick up from 13:00 – 13:30 (Morning session) or 17:00 – 17:30 (Afternoon session).
