About Gymnastics

At Sportspark, we believe gymnastics is for everyone. Whether you're a beginner discovering the joy of movement or an experienced athlete refining your skills, our SPRING Gymnastics Centre offers a welcoming environment for all ages and abilities. With facilities equipped to Olympic standards, including foam-filled pits, sprung floors, and various apparatus, we provide a safe and supportive space for individuals and groups to explore gymnastics. From structured classes to open sessions and private bookings, there's a place for you to develop strength, flexibility, and confidence.

Pre School Gymnastics

Our weekly pre-school SPRING drop-in sessions are a popular way for little ones to explore movement and gymnastics during the day. Sessions run during term-time, and bookings can be made up to 10 days in advance for a maximum of two children.

For everyone’s safety and comfort, please avoid bringing buggies or pushchairs into the Gymnastics Centre, and all babies should be kept in a sling.

 Baby Open Session

This 45-minute drop-in session is designed especially for babies to explore, move, and play in a safe and welcoming environment. It’s a great opportunity for little ones to experience new textures and surfaces, and for parents or carers to meet others in a relaxed setting.

Parents are fully responsible for their child throughout the session, with two qualified coaches on hand to offer guidance and support. Numbers are limited to keep the space calm and comfortable for everyone.

Pre School Open Session

For walking to school-age children

A fun 45-minute session where little ones can explore and play on the gymnastics equipment with their parent. It’s a great way to build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement.

Parents are fully responsible for their child during the session. Please note that one adult may supervise up to two children for all open and pre-school sessions. Full session rules can be found in the Daytime SPRING policies.

Pre School Structured with Parent

For walking to school-age children

A 45-minute, coach-led session designed to help young children develop early gymnastics skills in a fun, structured environment. Two qualified coaches guide each themed session, which includes a warm-up and exciting circuits using a variety of gymnastics equipment.

Parents stay with their child throughout and are encouraged to join in and support. Children should be able to follow simple instructions, wait their turn, and take part for the full session. Please note that one adult may supervise up to two children for all pre-school structured-with-parent sessions.

Pre School Independent Session

For children aged 3 to school age

This 45-minute, coach-led session is perfect for little gymnasts who are ready to take part on their own while parents watch from our viewing area. As the next step towards our school-age classes, children will work with two qualified coaches to learn basic gymnastics skills, build confidence, and have plenty of fun along the way.

Each child will receive a sticker chart to track their progress and celebrate achievements. Sessions run in term-time blocks, and booking is required for this short course.

Inclusive Gymnastics

Our inclusive sessions are designed to create a calm, supportive environment where children with additional needs can explore, play and build confidence at their own pace. With reduced numbers, no music and qualified coaches on hand, these sessions provide a welcoming space for children and their families to enjoy gymnastics together.

All inclusive springer session

We offer two age-grouped All Inclusive Springer sessions:

  • Walking – 9 years: Tuesday afternoons at 2pm

  • Ages 8 – 15: Wednesday afternoons at 2pm

These 45-minute sessions are designed to be calm and supportive, with reduced participant numbers and no music, helping children with additional needs feel comfortable.

Children can explore and play on a variety of gymnastics equipment alongside their parent or adult. Each week features a new equipment setup to keep things exciting. Up to two adults can attend with one child if extra support is needed.

Parents remain responsible for their child throughout the session, but our two qualified coaches are always on hand to offer advice and guidance.

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability)

Our SEND sessions are designed for children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, as well as their siblings. These sessions provide a calm, supportive environment where children can explore and enjoy gymnastics at their own pace.

We offer two age groups, which alternate each week:

  • Walking – 9 years

  • Ages 8 – 15

Sessions take place most Sundays from 10:00 – 10:45am and last 45 minutes.

Each week, children can play and explore the gymnastics equipment with their parent, guardian or carer. To keep the environment comfortable, we limit numbers and do not play music during these sessions.

We recommend one adult per child, but up to two adults may attend if extra support is needed. Parents or carers are responsible for their child throughout, with two qualified coaches on hand to offer guidance and advice.

Holiday Drop-in Sessions

Looking for something fun and active to do during the school holidays? Our Holiday Drop Sessions are the perfect way for children to enjoy time in the gym, explore the equipment, and stay moving during the break. With sessions tailored for different age groups, there’s something for everyone. Each 45-minute session offers a relaxed, supportive environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills, and most importantly, have fun!

Mini Springer

Designed for children from walking up to 8 years old.

This 45-minute session, is a fun opportunity for little ones to explore and play on all the gymnastics equipment alongside their parent or guardian. Parents are responsible for their child throughout the session, and one adult can supervise up to two children.

Springer

Designed for children aged 9–15 years.

This 45-minute session gives children the freedom to explore and enjoy all the gymnastics equipment independently, without parents present. Two qualified coaches are on hand throughout to offer guidance and lead a fun warm-up at the start of the session.

Adult Gymnastics (16+)

Discover the fun and challenge of gymnastics at any age. Our Adult Gymnastics sessions are open to anyone aged 16 and over, offering a great way to build strength, flexibility and confidence. Whether you’re completely new to gymnastics or looking to revisit old skills, there’s a session to suit you, from structured courses with guided coaching to open drop-ins where you can train at your own pace.

90-minute unstructured session

Our Adult Drop-In Gymnastics sessions are a fun and flexible way to stay active and try something new. These 90-minute sessions are unstructured, giving you the freedom to use all the equipment in our fully equipped gym at your own pace.

Two qualified coaches are always present to supervise and ensure a safe environment. Whether you’re completely new to gymnastics or returning after a break, these sessions are open to all abilities.

Adult gymnastics course

Structured session

Our Adult Gymnastics Course offers a structured way to improve fitness, flexibility, and coordination through gymnastics. Sessions include guided activities across a variety of equipment, tailored to all skill levels.

Our adult trampoline sessions are a fun and relaxed way to stay active. Recreational Gymnastics courses

School-aged children up to 15 years old

Our recreational gymnastics programme is designed for school-aged children who want to have fun while developing important physical skills. Through gymnastics, children build confidence, motivation for sport, strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall movement skills.

Sessions focus on the basics of gymnastics using a variety of apparatus, with the main goal being fun and enjoyment.

Children also have the chance to work towards the RISE award scheme each term. When your child achieves an award, their coach will send a letter and invite you to purchase a certificate and medal. We believe that children thrive on recognition, so we encourage them to continually improve and celebrate their achievements.

These courses are perfect for children trying gymnastics for the first time or for those who already enjoy the sport and want to have fun while learning new skills.

Improver Gymnastics courses

School-aged children up to 15 years old

Our Improver Gymnastics programme is designed for school-aged children who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their skills to the next level. These sessions help children develop their gymnastics abilities further, build confidence, and explore new challenges in a supportive environment.

Improver classes are 1.5 hours per week and focus on expanding skill sets and introducing more advanced techniques, while still keeping the sessions fun and engaging.

Children continue to work towards the RISE award scheme each term. When your child achieves an award, their coach will send a letter and invite you to purchase a certificate and medal. We believe children thrive on recognition and encourage them to keep improving and celebrating their achievements.

Trampolining Courses

For school age – 15 years old

Our trampolining courses are designed to be fun, engaging, and skill-building. Trampolining helps develop balance, power, and spatial awareness, making it both exciting and rewarding.

Sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those with some trampoline experience. Our coaches work individually with participants to teach the basics, help build new skills, and progress at a pace that suits each child, all with an emphasis on enjoyment.

Children also have the opportunity to work towards trampoline awards, earning a badge and certificate to celebrate their achievements. Our experienced coaches are passionate about helping participants improve their strength, balance, and confidence while having fun.

Looking for a fun, active way to stay fit? We also offer Adult Trampolining sessions as part of our adult gymnastics programme, suitable for all abilities.

 

Tumbling Courses

Tumbling is a breath-taking type of gymnastics. It’s all about somersaults, twists, and flips then linking them all together. If you’ve already got a bit of gymnastics experience, it’s easy to get started with tumbling (not to mention a whole lot of fun!)

Beginner Tumbling

School age – 15 years old
If you’ve already got a bit of gymnastics experience and can cartwheel, roll and handstand – it’s easy to get started with tumbling (not to mention a whole lot of fun!) During this session, you will master the basics of tumbling with our qualified coaches.

Improver Tumbling

School age – 15 years

This session is for those who have done tumbling before and have already mastered the basics. These sessions are all about learning flicks and somersaults, then linking them together one after the other all the way down the tumble track. It’s very impressive to watch as well as a whole lot of fun to do!

Advanced Tumbling

This session is intended for individuals with prior tumbling background. These sessions focus on mastering advanced skills and tumbling down the track by incorporating whipping, twisting, and doubling techniques. Watching it is extremely impressive and also really enjoyable to participate in!

For all gymnastics, trampolining, and tumbling courses, a waiting list is in place for children interested in our SPRING Gymnastics programme. Please complete our online form to be added to the list.

Private Hire of SPRING Gymnastics Centre

We can customise your private hire to meet your needs, whether you are a school, community group or business seeking team building activities or scheduled or unstructured coaching sessions. We also provide services for local competitions, regional training and coaching courses.

We accommodate one-time or recurring bookings every week from nurseries, schools, children’s and youth organisations, companies, and other gymnastics clubs. In Norfolk and Suffolk, we now provide help to a variety of local schools and organisations.
