Our Inclusive Sports Club (drop-in) runs every Wednesday between 11:40 until 13:00 and welcomes disabled groups, disabled individuals (16+) and their carers.
Offering a range of different sporting activities including football, hockey, dance, tennis, yoga, circuit training, badminton, athletics and more, the club aims to include both indoor and outdoor sporting activities; depending on the weather.
Wherever possible, carers are encouraged to participate in all of the activities. The club costs just £1.50 for customers and is free of charge to carers.
In addition to providing a great opportunity to learn new sports and activities in an encouraging and supportive environment, Sportspark’s Inclusive Sports Club offers many other fantastic benefits including:

This class is for children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and their siblings. One parent/guardian/carer supervising one child is recommended but we will allow two children to one parent. This 45 minute session is for walking – 9 years. It’s a chance for them to come into the gym, explore and play on all the gymnastics equipment with their parent. Every week there will be a different themed set up for them to enjoy. Parents will be fully in charge of their child throughout the session but there is 2 qualified coaches on hand to offer any advice. No music will be played during the session.
For more information, please email Trudi Nicholson, Senior Gymnastics Coach, on T.Nicholson@uea.ac.uk.
For those with dementia and any other life changing illnesses. A friendly drop-in session for you and your carer where you can chat over a cup of coffee and try your hand at a few activities. The sessions run from 11:15 – 13:00 on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Each session costs £1.50 and carers go free.

Special Olympics Norfolk has teamed up with the Sportspark and Active Norfolk to create a cycling group for children and adults with disabilities. Special Olympics provides sports training and competition for people with learning disabilities, however our cycling group is inclusive and we actively encourage anyone with a disability to attend.
By using specially adapted cycles, the activities are both physically and mentally stimulating and above all fun. Special Olympics cycling sessions are held at the Sportspark track providing a safe environment for our athletes to hone their cycling skills. There will be opportunities to take part in skill and speed training if cyclists are eager to progress to competition
The cycling group will initially run on a monthly basis on Sunday mornings, 10:30am – 12:30pm:
There is a small fee of £1.50 payable at reception.
Special Olympics have a number of adaptive bikes available or you can bring their own, if you prefer.
There are a number of organisations and groups that host different activities and sports at Sportspark. For more information, please contact the organisers direct.

This group is held at Sportspark every Monday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm and led by Pearl Cooper. The cost per session is £3 per person. Please report and hand your £3 fee to the volunteer in the Sportscafé, prior to attending the exercise session so we have a full attendance record.
This is an enjoyable, mainly seated, exercise -to-music session for people with Parkinson’s. Carers are welcome to attend*.
*For any new attendee who is accompanied by a carer we ask that the carer remain with the attendee for the initial 2 sessions. This allows Pearl to liaise with the carer, if necessary, following her initial assessment.
If anyone has any queries about these arrangements or requires any clarification please do not hesitate to contact Pearl Cooper (01603 455149). We wish to emphasis these arrangements have been put in place for everyone’s safety.
We hope you will join us and look forward to seeing you.
Most people stay and have coffee/tea in the Sportscafé, at a cost of 55p per person. New friendships, as well as support, are formed from this group. Please come along and have a go. No need to book in advance.
