Please also refer note that our Christmas/New Year opening hours are slightly different and full details can be found at the bottom of this section.

SPRING is Sportspark's Gymnastics and Trampolining Centre and is fully equipped to provide the best facilities for recreational level Gymnastics and Trampolining in the country. It has foam filled pits, asymmetric bars/high bar, rings, parallel bars, beams, pummel horse, fast track, tumble track, vaulting track, two floor level trampolines with rig, a sprung floor area, wall bars and mirrors.

We offer drop-in classes, short and long courses (term time) for everyone from pre-school children, juniors and adults. For more information on all of our current SPRING Gymnastics session, please see below. We also offer birthday parties and private hire of the centre.

Term length courses

Spring 2019 timetable

Priority booking for the Spring course opens from 07:00 on Thursday 15th November and public booking from 07:00 on Thursday 29th November. 

If you are not sure that you child will enjoy a course then why not book a trial session. Trial session run along side our courses. Only one trial session can be booked per person per term. Trial session are not available on full courses.  Trial sessions will not be available during badge assessment weeks.  Cost of a trial session is £7.50.

Recreational and Improver Gymnastic Courses (Term-length)

Our recreational and improver gymnastic courses run the length of each school term period.


Recreational Gymnastics courses (school aged children and upwards)
Fun courses for those who would like to give gymnastics a try and for those who enjoy gymnastics and just want to have some fun. We follow the British Gymnastics awards for recreational gymnastics, these start at award 8 and work towards award 1. The awards are practiced twice a term, and is a fun way to work on coordination, strength and flexibility. The basics in gymnastics will be worked on the other sessions using all the apparatus, with the ethnises on FUN. Click on the badge numbers below to find out what is involved in each of the badges.

NEW Recreational gymnastics

This course is for children who have already passed the proficiency award badge 1. it will be more advanced session for those who have already mastered the basics to contiue to improve on new gymnastics skills.  They will contiue to go on all the apparatus with our qualified coaches.


Improver Gymnastics  (school age - 15 years old) 
Courses for those who want to take gymnastics a bit further and has mastered the basics, with good coordination, strength and flexibility.

Beginner Tumbling (school age - 15 years old)

Anyone can join this tumbling class even if you have not done any tumbling before. During these session you will master the basics of tumbling with our qualified coaches before going on to learning flips and twists. If you’ve already got a bit of gymnastics experience, it’s easy to get started with tumbling (not to mention a whole lot of fun).
 

Improver Tumbling (school age - 15 years old)

This session is for those who have done tumbling before and have already mastered the basics. During these sessions, which is all about somersaults, flips and twists - and linking them together, one after the other all the way down the tumble track. It’s very impressive to watch as well as a whole lot of fun to do.
 
Trampolining (4 years old - 15 years old and Family)

These exciting sessions are for anyone who wants to come and try trampolining. Whether you want to learn new skills or just keep fit these sessions are for you. Trampolining is exhilarating and a lot of fun and with the help of our qualified coach and rig system they will be flipping in no time. We want them to enjoy their time with us in ways that exceed their own expectations and show them what they are capable of.
 
Acrobatic (school age to 99 years old)

Acrobatic gymnastics is all about working as a team to pull off the most spectacular balances and throws. By learning as a pair or group, you can have a lot of fun developing your skills, strength and co-ordination over the term. If you enjoy working and having fun as part of a group, you’ll get a kick out of Acrobatic gymnastics right from your very first day.

6 Week Gymnastic Courses

Pre-school Independent (3-5 year olds)
A structured course for children who are taught gymnastics skills on the pre-school apparatus. Parents do not take part but are welcome to watch the sessions from the viewing gallery.

Inclusive Gymnastics

We want our Gymnastics sessions to be open to everyone so starting Wednesday 10th October 2018, there will be inclusive drop-in sessions in the Spring Gymnastics Centre.

These will take place every Wednesday at 14:00 during term time.  The rules for this session will be the same as the pre-school drop in apart from;

•  One parent/ guardian/ carer can supervise a maximum of 1 child
•   If required a maximum of 2 parent/ guardian/ carers can supervise 1 child
•   Available to children up to the age of 10

The difference between this session and pre-school sessions are;

•  Numbers are reduced to 16
•   No music will be played during the session
•   Changes to the age limit and ratio

We are looking for feedback on these sessions and the guidelines we have put in place.

Cost is £4 per person per session.

Trampolining

NEW TRAMPOLINING COURSES

We are excited to announce a new term of Trampolining courses at Sportspark.

They are available for a range of ages and take place in our Spring Gymnastics & Trampolining Centre.

Starting Thursday 1st November - 60 min sessions (7 weeks)

16:30-17:30 7-15 year olds

17:30-18:30 7-15 year olds

18:30-19:30 Adult Open Tramp 16+

 

Starting Saturday 3rd November - 60 min sessions (6 weeks) *

09:00-10:00 4-6 year olds

10:00-11:00 7-15 year olds

11:00-12:00 8+ (family)

*Excluding 10th November

How to Book - SPRING Gymnastic Courses

To book onto a course, simply refer to the timetable and find the level and age-range that is most suitable for your child - for example, beginner: 8 - 10 years old. Term length beginners gymnastics courses are marked in pale-pink, and term length improver gymnastics courses are marked in pale-blue.

Choose your preferred day and time and then enter details of the course level (beginner/improver), age range, day and time onto a Sportspark Booking Form and return to Sportspark’s reception (from the enrollment date specified), together with full payment. As courses book up very quickly, we also recommend that you look at a second choice of day/time just in case.

ACCESS CARDS FOR JUNIOR COURSES
Please note, for all junior courses, the course price include 2 x Sportspark free access cards.  These are made available to allow parents/guardians to drop off and pick up children without having to pay the standard Sportspark 60p entrance fee. Free access cards will need to be scanned at the turnstiles on each visit to Sportspark. Failure to do so will result in the standard entry fee being charged. Please note that there is a replacement charge of £3.00 for any lost cards.

Please also note that as per Sportspark's terms and conditions of use, all children under the age of 12 years attending any courses should be handed over/collected from teaching staff by a parent or guardian aged 16+, and not left unsupervised at the teaching venue.

Gift vouchers
These make an ideal gift and can be purchased for full or part payment of courses or taster sessions and are available in values of £5.00. For more details, please ask at Reception.

Our weekly Pre-School Spring drop-in sessions are very popular and are bookable up to 10 days in advance for a maximum of 2 children. Drop-ins usually run during term-time only please check with reception for updates and our home page notices.

Pre-school Spring  Sessions (walking - school age)
An unstructured class where children and parents play together on the pre-school apparatus under the supervision of coaches.


Pre-school Taught sessions (walking - school age)
A structured class for children and parents.  Coaches teach basic gymnastics skills on pre-school apparatus. Participants in this session will need to be able to follow simple instructions and take part for the whole session.

Inclusive session

•             Available to child up to the age of 10

Open Adult Gymnastics (16+) 
Session for those over 16 wish to try gymnastics.  There will be coaches available to do provide help and advice when possible.  The staff are there is supervise the session as well, so coaching is not always available.  the trampolines are available to use to practice your gymnastic moves and under the coaches discretion and supervision. Please note the floor area is not avaiable after 20:00.

Participants of the session will need to fill out the Open Adult Gymnastic Registration form.

This weekly drop-in session is bookable up to 14 days in advance for members and 7 days for non-memebrs.


Cost:  £5 members / £6.00 non-members.

How to book Pre-school and adult sessions

Even though these are drop-ins sessions, we do recommend booking in advance, as the sessions are very popular (especially the morning ones).

If you are new to Sportspark, the first time you book, it is best to call our bookings line on tel: 01603 592398. This number is only available for bookings between 10:00-21:00 hours,  Monday-Sunday.

However, when you come in to Sportspark, please ask one of our Customer Service Advisors to set you up with an online booking account (this can only be done in person).Guide to booking.

Please note, that to do so you’ll be asked to present photo ID that shows your current address (i.e., a driver’s license), and provide your email address and mobile number.

The online account will hopefully make it easier for you to book your chosen activity in future. As mentioned above, pre-school Spring drop-in sessions are bookable up to 10 days in advance.

Children's University - Passport To Learning Stamps

Sportspark is proud be an official Norfolk Children's University Learning Destination and supports the Passport To Learning scheme.

Sportspark issues Passport To Learning stamps for successful completion of our 6 week Sports Courses (i.e., archery, climbing, Fit Kidz, squash), Gymnastics Courses and Learn To Swim Programme. (Please note that tasters and drop-in sessions do not count towards the Passport To Learning scheme).
